Q. How do I register with GCR?
A. You can call us and chat with one of our recruiters. We may have you come in for initial discussion so we can get to know each other. You can also send us your resume via fax, post or email, and we'll contact you promptly to connect you with a recruiter.
Q. Will I have to pay you to find me a job?
A. Not at all. The service, all advice and counselling we offer is free to our candidates. If you accept a position with one of our clients, the hiring company will pay our fee.
Q. Will my current employer find out I am looking for a new job?
A. Not from us. Our dealings with you are strictly confidential. We discuss any relevant opportunities with you before sending your resume forward to any
potential employers.
Q. What type of jobs do you deal with?
A. Our clients contact us about all types of positions within the fields of technology, manufacturing and engineering, just to name a few. The positions range from contract to permanent.
Q. What happens once I have sent my resume?
A. The procedure is straightforward. A GCR recruiter will contact you by telephone at a time that is convenient for you. Your recruiter may ask you to visit our offices for an informal chat and discuss your situation, along with any queries or concerns you may have about the process. Our recruiter will work with you to understand your goals, interests, and experience. If there is a relevant vacancy, your recruiter will discuss it with you and establish how well it is matched to your aspirations. We only offer our clients pre-screened, qualified candidates.Your resume is then sent to the customer and interviews are arranged as appropriate. Our team will ensure that you are prepared for each stage of the job application process.
Q. Can you see me after work?
A. Yes, our offices are open from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.on Monday through Thursday and from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday.
Appointments can be made after these times or over the weekend if necessary.
Q. Will you contact me at work?
A. We understand the sensitivity of taking phone calls at work. Initially we will contact you at home or on your cell phone. After the initial consultation we will take instructions from you.
Q. Can you give me help with my interview technique?
A. Yes, all of our recruiters are fully trained in counseling candidates though the recruitment process,
