About the Job

We are looking for an Algorithm Development Engineer to work closely with artificial intelligence and robotics experts to develop core algorithms that will power self-driving cars.

Duties include:

  • Work closely with artificial intelligence and robotics experts to develop core algorithms that will power self-driving cars
  • Implement, test and evaluate high-performance, mission-critical algorithms in C++ that will run on the car on an embedded platform
  • Profile, optimize, and debug new and existing C++ code in Linux based environment
  • Strong interest in developing the next generation of autonomous vehicles and a deep knowledge of C++ and computational thinking, but without a specific background in AI or Machine Learning.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • M.S. with at least 5 years of prior experience or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field
  • Advanced knowledge in algorithms and data structures
  • Extremely high expertise in profiling, optimizing, and debugging new and existing C++ code in Linux based environments
  • Extremely high standard in code quality
  • Experience in software architecture and software design (UML, statecharts)
  • Excellent C++11 programming expertise (incl. STL), ideally also Python
  • Proven ability to multitask and deliver on challenging software development tasks
  • Experience with source code management, unit test, code review and issue tracking systems.
  • Knowledge of Linux and development on Linux systems
