Data Scientist

Contract 3 year Assignment 40 hours weekly, US Citizen with Secret Clearance.

Assignment may be a combination of remote and on-site place of performance and on-board may be on a remote basis.

Designs, develops, and implements methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze diverse data sets including structured and unstructured. Develops software programs, algorithms, dashboards, information tools, and queries to clean, model, integrate and evaluate datasets. Keeps abreast of new analytic methodologies and technologies. Collaborates with functional business units to drive business solutions and direction.

The Homeland Sensors and Analytics Group  develops novel technologies to detect and characterize threats for Homeland Security applications, and to provide decision support to operators and analysts. Client is in need of a data scientist and machine learning specialist to aid in the development and characterization of prototype algorithms. This position will involve analyzing machine learning problems to identify promising approaches, implementing algorithms, training them on mission-relevant data, and assessing the performance of these algorithms. Candidate must have the following skills:

The position requires candidate who has direct experience with common machine learning and deep neural network toolboxes, such as PyTorch or TensorFlow. Candidates must also have performed prior research and development related to data science / machine learning, either through academic or professional experience.
