Electrical Engineer - Signal Integrity and Power Integrity
Contract 3-6 months [possible extension(s)]
Mon-Fri 40 hours/week
Redondo Beach, CA
[Remote work possible]

We are looking for a SI/PI (Signal and Power Integrity) Engineer with at least 5 years of experience using ANSYS Electronics Desktop tools.


1.       They should be expert at running signal and power integrity simulations on packages and board with little to no supervision
2.       Background in high speed digital (>20Gbps) AND analog (>30GHz) signal modeling using AEDT (ANSYS Electronics Desktop) for electromagnetic modeling and analysis
3.       Candidate should have semiconductor industry experience
4.       Candidate should know how to use Cadence Free Viewer
5.       They should be able to perform extractions for specification verifications but also optimization when necessary
6.       They should be expert at analyzing post simulation and know when results are not valid and model setup needs to be examined
7.       They should know when to use AEDT layout and AEDT HFSS
8.       They should be able to multitask (pre and post processing while simulations are running)
9.       They should be able to run SIwave for power integrity and be able to discuss the limitations of SIwave versus RedHawk
10.       They should know when to section a model and concatenate and when to run end to end
11.       They should know how to model basic components (connectors, embedded filters, capacitors, inductors)
12.   They should be able to support other members of the SI Team as the workload changes
13.   They should be able to summarize their simulations/extractions/optimizations clearly in reports for layout engineers and customers
14.   They should have a working relationship with ANSYS application engineering and understand and use their support process
15.   BS Physics is preferred with BS Electrical Engineering is satisfactory
16.   Training as a signal integrity engineer with academic classes, industry classes or seminars is required
17.   A strong knowledge of electromagnetics is required
