6+6 month contract (will commit to 6, expectation is to renew for additional 6)
Will work onsite for a company which provides computing solutions that process data in real-time to support mission critical functions, in the air, on the ground, and at sea. They develop single board computers, graphics, and Ethernet Switching solutions for military programs.

The Senior Hardware Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of hardware development within an embedded systems environment. You will support activities including requirements definition, design capture, debugging, testing, documenting and support.


• Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent

• 5 yrs + Board level development experience utilizing high-speed digital circuits and/or FPGAs is required

• Board level and/or FPGA development process is an asset

• Extended temperature design testing is desired

• Hardware engineering processes and standards and product configuration management system is an asset

• Design capture tools (preferably Mentor Graphics) is an asset

• Signal integrity analysis tools and measurement is an asset

• Hardware defect tracking tools and test methodologies is an asset

• Hardware debugging tools -- analyzers, scopes, emulators

• Experience with using diagnostics tools like Digital Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, DVMs

• Writing test software in C and/or assembly language is an asset

• Hardware descriptor languages such as Verilog or VHDL is an asset

• Experience with requirements capture, analysis and tracking is an asset


• Design, develop and test new embedded Hardware

• Support and enhance existing embedded Hardware

• Apply established development processes and assist in

process improvement

• Analyze marketing and engineering requirements and

develop design alternatives

• Generate complete and accurate user and design


• US citizen required, ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance

Regular 5 day workweek
Must be on site every day
NO active clearance required, but must be eligible
