12 months assignment.

As a Project Engineer you will be assigned either a development or a production program to manage through the lifecycle of the system. Work hand-in-hand with the Program Manager to ensure that not only the technical requirements are being met, but also be mindful of the cost, schedule, and quality KPI’s as well.

Plan and execute the design and development phase of a turreted weapon system from contract award through transition into production.
•Lead the technical team by providing guidance to the systems, mechanical, electrical, and software design engineers to ensure the resulting solution meets the performance and programmatic needs of the program.
•Lead the development, prototyping, integration, and debug of a complex system consisting of mechanical, electrical, and software.
•Maintain the appropriate level of configuration management of the design throughout the design and development phase, including ensuring an accurate Bill of Material.
•Coordinate and contribute to technical reports, data items, and presentations
•Develop test plans for internal use and customer acceptance, develop assembly work instructions, and define tooling and test equipment needs.
•Work with supply chain to identify options that support the needs of the program
•Support field testing
•Support proposal and business development efforts related to the system
•Support continuous improvement activities
•Occasional travel required
Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
•Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
•10+ years engineering experience working with complex systems
•Experience with configuration control of complex military or aerospace systems
•Ability to understand dynamic control architectures, performance simulations, hardware drawings, schematics, and device specifications
•Good problem solving, abstraction, and presentation skills
•Must be a self-starter
•Due to U.S. Government and Military contracts, candidates must be either a U.S. Citizen.
