6-12 month assignment. Monday through Friday, forty hours.
Drug Test and BG required
o Assist Engineering Management and/or Sales in investigation and estimating of new projects.
o Develop mechanical systems, key design components, potential approach(es) and critical specifications.
o Develop conceptual solid models and/or complete & refine conceptual solid models into ready-to-detail models.
o Create full documentation packages (detailed fabrication, component, assembly drawings and bills of materials).
o Participate in an advisory & quality control capacity during assembly and debug.
o Works independently with minimal supervision and effectively in teams.
o Occasional day and overnight travel, as required.
o Ability to develop conceptual solid models and/or complete & refine conceptual solid models into finished models.
o Ability to create detailed fabrication and assembly drawings from solid models for both machined parts and sheet metal.
o Ability to meet agreed-upon task budgets (materials & labor) and drive to deadlines.
o Strong knowledge of commonly used mechanical techniques – pneumatic, vacuum, motors and actuators, and mechanisms.
o Strong knowledge of materials, fabrication practices, finishing methods and procedures.
o Strong knowledge of SolidWorks. SolidWorks simulation desired. Knowledge of AutoCAD desired; Unigraphics NX a plus.
o Knowledge of clean room and high vacuum semiconductor equipment and design requirements strongly desired.
o Good written and verbal communications skills.
o BSME required. MSME or equivalent work experience, or combination of education and experience desired.
o 10+ years engineering or related work experience
