Mixed-Signal Electrical Design and Test Engineer

Contract 6+ months, M-F 40 hours weekly

Prior experience working with USSOCOM or other government customers and having an active and current US Government security clearance is a plus.  Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

SOW: Responsibilities include the design, build, and test of prototype and deployable electronic systems in support of programs managed both from the Cambridge, MA office as well as the St. Petersburg satellite office.

This position requires the ability to apply sound engineering fundamentals for the execution of sensor/actuator development projects within the Electronics Division.

Members of the Low Power Electronics group support a variety of multi-disciplinary programs lasting an average of 12 to 18 months each. Many programs will be in support of USSOCOM and will require on-site development and training at local government facilities, with limited remote work opportunities available. T

he candidate needs to be a team player, self-directed, and work well in a multidisciplinary environment. Education, Experience, and Skills: 7+ years overall experience with mixed-signal electronic design and a BSEE or BSCE degree.

Extensive experience with electronic design (schematic capture, layout, bring-up and test), embedded firmware/software development, and familiarity with embedded Linux is required. Candidate must be self-motivated and capable of working at a high technical level with minimal supervision. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.  Must have the ability to document designs, simulations, and test results for distribution and presentation to a technical audience.
