M-F 40 hours weekly


Client is seeking an Optical Engineer with expertise in the area of Optical Metrology to join the Optical Design and development group. Main job function to Design and build Optical Metrology test stands to test optical sub-modules that gets integrated in the build of Client high end lithography tools sensors.


The main focus of this position will be:

o Develop clear understanding of optical tests needed for qualifying optical sub-modules.

o Design test stand set-ups that have the resolution and accuracy for qualifying optical sub-modules and systems;

o Lead the build and qualification test set-ups.

o Transfer test process to manufacturing.


Minimum MS in Optical Engineering, or Physics with an emphasis on Optical metrology. Candidates with BS in optical engineering or optical physics with at least 5 years experience in Optical Metrology will be considered.


Candidate must:

o Experience with diverse optical metrology setups: Interferometers, SHS, polarimetry/ellipsometry, Optical alignment.

o In depth experience with at least 1 of the 3 items list: CodeV and/or Zemax; FRED; MATLAB.

o Have strong written and oral communicative skills and a commitment to achieving results on time;

o Demonstrated "team player" with a quality orientation and interpersonal skills;

o Be able to interface with multidisciplinary groups and work effectively in a team and be willing to take on responsibility, follow through and keep multiple simultaneous assignments on schedule;

The Optical alignment Group is seeking an optical engineer with clear strength in the area of Optical Metrology. The Optical Design and Development is a mono-discipline group involved in optical design, physical optics modeling and optical metrology to support the design and build of high end optical sensors used on Client Lithography tools for wafer alignment, wafer leveling, feedback metrology for process control, etc.
