Principal Integrated Circuit Designer

DIRECT HIRE (2) openings

The Microelectronics Group at our client consists of about a dozen motivated engineers developing analog, mixed-signal, and RF application-specific integrated circuits (ASIC). Our client enjoy's the challenge of designing integrated circuits from the ground up for challenging environments and unique applications - from outer space to inside the human body. They are looking for an active circuit designer capable of specifying and architecting complex integrated circuits, leading design teams from concept through tapeout, and serving as a primary technical interface to customers/sponsors.

 

Required Skills:

Comprehensive understanding of transistor-level architecture for one or more of the following:

  • Power Conditioning Circuits (Charge-Pump, Boost/Buck converter, LDO, etc.)
  • RF integrated circuits (RF CMOS and/or SiGe)
  • Data Converters (ADC and/or DAC)

Required Skills:
1.Comprehensive understanding of transistor-level architecture for one or more of the following:
1.Power Conditioning Circuits (Charge-Pump, Boost/Buck converter, LDO, etc.)
2.RF integrated circuits (RF CMOS and/or SiGe)
3.Data Converters (ADC and/or DAC)
2.Simulation and Layout with Cadence front-end tools
1.Virtuoso Schematic and Layout
2.Spectre simulation using ADE
3.DRC and LVS
3.Familiarity with either MOSIS or TAPO MPW runs

Other Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with low power energy harvesting and storage
  • Experience with low energy per bit radio architectures
  • Experience with MOS advanced nodes below 32nm
  • Experience with radiation-hardened design

Qualifications

MS or PhD with 15+ years of experience designing integrated circuits
