Our Client has been awarded a contract to develop, build and install a large piece of industrial equipment for one of their Clients. We are searching for a highly organized person with some technical knowledge who can read and understand the deliverables that are required, and who can maintain all required documentation. This is a 10 month Contract position.
Ability to read and understand the project documents in terms of what must be tracked and documented (such as Welding certifications), what manufacturing and engineering deadlines are required, etc. This person does not need to understand all of the engineering concepts, and does not need to create Autocad or Solidworks documents, although if they could view a document in Autocad or Solidworks that would be a plus. They are also not responsible for making sure the company hits the engineering or manufacturing deadlines, but for making sure everyone knows what they are, and when the next deadline is coming up.
Position requires proficiency in MS office suite of products, particularly Excel and MS Project
Management of all project documentation, to include Engineering drawings, ECO’s, all project files. Awareness and notification to others of upcoming deadlines.
Maintains a project schedule and resolves any conflicts that may arise due to conflicts that coming from customer changes, material shortages, etc.
Interfaces with internal departments including Sales, Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure deadlines are met and problems are solved.
Interfaces with suppliers to ensure delivery schedule of subcontractor components
Management of the overall delivery schedule
Must be on site every day, work hours are 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.
Suitable backgrounds would include:
An Engineering Documentation Coordinator who files drawings, tracks and documents ECO’s etc.
A Quality person who has been involved in an ISO certification project and has maintained the documentation for that, has let peole know what the “next steps” are, etc.
