We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Designer.

Responsibilities

  • Design, development, and documentation in support of space, air, and ground based optical payload systems
  • Versed in basic Analog and Digital electronics (mixed-signal), including FPGA’s
  • Understanding schematic development using Capture CIS and circuit flow and design constraints as passed down from the schematic to Allegro PCB Design Editor
  • Utilize Capture CIS to navigate, de-bug, and edit schematics as required to resolve common DRC errors
  • Thoroughly understand all the advanced set-up and customization features of Allegro PCB Design Editor
  • Collaborate with other engineering functions to derive the board mechanical constraints from an IDX or DXF file for import into Allegro
  • Complete design implementation including, choosing the appropriate board stack-up, determining the proper dielectric spacing and traces for any impedance controlled signals, and applying source and termination resistors/capacitors for Signal Integrity
  • Utilize the EC process using PDM Link to release a complete PCB design package with Schematic, PCB Post Process, Fab, CCA, and BOM documentation
  • Assist in both schematic entry and PCB layout
  • Assist in schematic symbols and PCB footprint creation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience. Greater than 10 years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • Experience using AutoCAD and Cadence software: OrCAD Capture CIS, OrCAD PCB Editor, Allegro PCB Designer is preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Must be able to work within a group and team environment
  • Must be detail-oriented and results-driven with ability  to achieve deadlines
  • Strong communication, presentation and organizational skills
  • Experience with Windchill (PDMlink) to store assembly drawings, parts lists, and create bills of material/BOM.
  • HyperLynx for analysis a plus
  • Capable of obtaining a clearance is desired
