Contract 4-6+ months strong potential for extension/conversion
Mon-Fri 40 hours/week
Remote - perferably based in North East

An exciting new fabless semiconductor company seeks an experienced Senior Product Engineer to support the product development of new-to-the-world ultra-high speed RF CMOS SOC’s and MCM’s for a wide range of high frequency commercial, military, and aerospace applications..

Duties include:

  • Planning and executing qualification and reliability programs for a range of new products.

  • Assist with bring up of yield analysis database. We are currently reviewing Examinator-Pro from Mentor but open to other options.

  • Review of customer and supplier specifications to ensure that customer’s needs will be met by the product.

  • Ensure the smooth transition of products from early stage sampling to high volume production on time and within the quality and cost expectations of the company.

  • Interface with all relevant departments, ASIC, Test, Manufacturing and Program Management to ensure products meet time and cost deadlines.

  • Develop and document procedures required to run product engineering in a Fabless start-up


Required Qualifications:

  • BS Degree or higher with 8+ years related semiconductor industry experience

  • Understanding of the principles behind Analog and Digital Testing.

  • Knowledge of SPC & other semiconductor Yield Enhancement and analytical methods.

  • Understanding of IC manufacturing methods and CMOS processing.

  • Experience working with high-speed digital (30Gbit/s) and/or high-speed analog (microwave 40GHz) semiconductor chips.

  • Experience supporting 12nm FinFET designs with 100's of millions of gates.

  • Self-starter with strong communications and interpersonal skills.


These skills are a plus:

  • Experienced in testing SOCs using ATE, wafer probe or bench test equipment.

  • Understanding of package assembly technology for SOCs.

  • Understanding of common semiconductor qualification test methodologies.

  • Understanding of common semiconductor reliability and quality standards and methods.
