Job Description

Six plus month assignment.  Monday - Friday, 40/hrs

Lead a Product engineering team of 3, driving the implementation and adherence to best in class standardized procedures and processes throughout.

Operate within a cross-functional and global matrix management structure

Ensuring the development of products and the investigation into new technologies to improve competitive advantage and market/product leadership.

· Process Design and Development: Oversees detailed design analysis, using accepted engineering methods, then rejects or forwards to appropriate engineering group. Reviews work of staff focusing on elimination of manufacturing

· Budget: Develops and maintains department budget, managing costs within budget levels.

Coordinates and plans manpower needs.

· Technology: Reviews technical systems plans to ensure compatibility

· Reports: Prepares company reports

Education/Experience required:

Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with an advanced degree preferred.

10 + years working with magnetic bearing systems and rotordynamics, with an in depth understanding of the design and tuning of these systems.

Proficient in various computer software programs including AutoCAD, Mechanical Desktop, Microsoft Office, etc.
