Sr Project Engineer
Contract 6+ months, M-F 40 hours weekly
The Test Equipment (TE) Global Functional Manager for Project Engineering is the individual who establishes, and measures effectiveness of project engineering processes and tools used in proposal and development program execution and ensures common practice execution across all sites. Being a global position, this person is expected to support and spend time working with each AG TE Fulfillment staffed site to produce global consistency and usage. This person:
Develops, releases, and maintains project engineering processes and work instructions.
Develops and provides initial global training of project engineering processes and work instructions.
Collaborates with Fulfillment Site Managers responsible for project engineering execution.
Directly reports to the Snr. Engineering Manager, TE Fulfillment
Is accountable for TE project engineering excellence
Be responsible for development, deployment, initial training and monitoring of project engineering processes and tools in support of the project engineering function and work in a collaborative manner with the global AGTE management team.
Authorship, implementation, administration and continuous improvement of AG TE Fulfillment processes, procedures, and standard tools.
Monitor quality of project engineering produced proposals, project engineering plans and execution and pursue improvements through resolution using standard process change management practices.
Work with all Fulfillment Site Managers directly and on a frequent and regular basis. Discuss effectiveness of project engineering. Take action on agreed upon improvement.
Evaluate project engineering industry best practices with the intent of recommending and potentially implementing those that would provide positive benefit to AG Test Equipment.
Be a mentor to the global team.
Accountable to the Senior Engineering Manager – Global Fulfillment Test Equipment.
Minimum of a Bachelors’ Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Project Management or Aerospace)
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in development and production testing within a relevant engineering sector (Aerospace, Automotive, Test Equipment)
Particular experience in the provision of test equipment solutions for multi-axis, closed loop, servo-hydraulic and electromechanical Test Systems is preferred.
Experience of leading multi-disciplinary staff is essential
