System Integration and Test Engineer

Contract 3+ months, M-F 40 hours weekly, Possible extension

US Citizen with Active Secret Clearance

Integration and Test Engineer with system level development experience. The candidate will work with other team members in providing solutions which span the testing of major system flight components and subsystems. Responsibilities include providing technical and schedule status of the hardware and software test development efforts, SRS's, SDPs, hardware requirement updates, coordinating closely with system and subsystem design engineers and leads, as well as assisting in developing and maintaining detailed project schedules and development plans.

The selected candidate will oversee the planning and execution of performance validation (tests, analyses, demonstrations) to established schedules and budgets. Key job elements include the development of problem identification and resolution, risk mitigation evaluations, and the identification of equipment/testing required to demonstrate system requirements and specifications have been satisfied.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the developments of plans, procedures and reporting of test results, analysis and data processing, and a desire to develop innovative test methodologies to assess system performance. Experience in any of the following areas would be a plus: Mechanical design, signal processing, linear systems, data modeling and analysis, and probability and statistics.

 

BS in EE, ME, CS, Physics (MS preferred) and 2+ years’ work experience.

Demonstrated experience in system level integration efforts is required. Strong interpersonal skills are also required. Familiarity with any of the following is a plus: Production Test Equipment development; system test data analysis; inertial instruments; software development/programming; factory test operations. Very strong verbal, written communication and organizational skills are required along with a demonstrated ability to work in a team.
