Systems Engineer - Requirements and Verification

Contract 6+ Months M-F 40 hours weekly

Due to federal contract obligations, must be a US Citizen


As a Requirements and Verification System Engineer, individuals should bring solid expertise in the application systems engineering to devise solutions for high performance systems. Interested applicants should bring a demonstrated experience in solving complex problems in a collaborative team environment, preferably in an aerospace context. The successful candidate will be interested in big picture thinking and working in a multi-disciplinary environment to resolve technically-challenging problems.

As a Requirements and Verification Systems Engineer, you will…

•Lead the systematic capture, development and documentation of fully verifiable requirements into a total systems solution
•Analyze/troubleshoot problems, identify and present accurate solutions in a high op-tempo environment
•Create design reports and presentations based on results from modeling and simulations
•Operate as a lead technical member on a team of creative, independent individuals
•Effectively communicate these internal design requirements to the other members of the design/project team
•Create concise reports that document the design decisions and analysis results
•Support the identification and definition of Verification and Validation approaches for the system or subsystem
•Support system- and subsystem-level integration and test, including any anomaly investigations
•Operate as a contributing or lead member of in a team of creative, independent individuals
•Coordinate/facilitate design product discussions across other development teams and Client sites
•Contribute as a key technical member on a team of creative, independent individuals
Required Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline (Engineering, Math,
Science, Technology) •7+ years of professional experience in the field of Engineering (or 5+ years with Master’s Degree; 3+ years with PhD)
•Experience in requirements management, modeling/simulation methods and control system design
•Due to federal contract obligations, must be a US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications Include…

•Familiarity with Fault Management design and architecture development
•Strengths in control system design (Master’s Degree or PhD in Control Systems a plus)
•Programming skills in C/C++ and Python
•Knowledge of aircraft flight control systems a plus
•Demonstrated technical leadership experience
•Proven competencies in Requirements Management, Verification and Validation Methods, and/or Integration and Test.
•Experience working with safety-critical systems (including hardware and software)
•Good verbal and written communication skills
