The Technical Lead is responsible for the design and implementation of solutions for our client's applications and products. The Technical Lead defines the best strategy to implement customer specific requirements, whether it’s configuring and customizing biometric applications and systems or developing customer specific software components. They would oversee deployment activities with internal and external customers.

Description:
* Understands and analyses customer requirements, data format/dictionary and interface specifications
* Identifies, defines, and communicates technical tasks that need to be performed to meet project objectives
* Define the integration and tests strategies
* Configures IDEMIA Biometric Information System products
* Develops customer specific software components in variety of programming languages and tools (Python, Linux shell scripting, JavaScript etc.).
* Participates in design and planning activities, following Agile methodology
* Creates technical documentation such as installation/configuration/maintenance procedures
* Deploys solutions to Dev, Test and Production environments
* Identifies and reports issues in the product
* Analyses and assesses issues during integration, testing, deployment and provides support on site when required
* Communicates progress, issues and identified risks during status meetings
* Supports planning by breaking larger tasks into smaller ones and estimating effort for specific tasks
* Confers with systems engineers, developers, customization engineers and others to design the system. Identifies limitations and performance requirements
* Analyzes the configuration of the systems prepared by the System Engineering team and to ensure successful implementation of the solution
* Ensures all customization code meets the requirements and has been fully validated through coordinated integration testing
* Communicates with other technical leads to ensure technical problems which might impact other projects are communicated to avoid problem repeat
* Acts as a lead technical consultant to internal project team members such as Program, Project or Product Managers regarding programming/system related issues and any external stakeholders such as customer-IT or end users
* Mentors junior integration engineers
* Maintains/acquires required skills as product and assignments evolve

Required:
* Sound experience in software integration, customization, design and/or development
* Strong knowledge of setting up and maintaining Linux servers
* Strong knowledge of Windows environment such as Active Directory and modern authentication
* Hands-on scripting and programming experience
* Intermediate understanding of computer networking and network protocols (HTTP, SSL, etc.)
* Experience with relational database and sql query
* Experience with source control and issue tracking systems (e.g. SVN, JIRA) and Deployment Automation (e.g. Terraform, Ansible)

Desired:* Experience with fingerprint, facial or other biometric technologies (e.g. software, standards, devices).
* Experience with Agile methodology
* Experience with cloud deployment and configuration
* Experience with Java Enterprise Edition and JBOSS application server
* Experience with platforms for building enterprise business process applications
* Experience with Clustering and High Availability solutions

Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree with technical major such as Engineering or Computer Science
